Defensive end Myles Garrett has an ankle injury

(Cleveland) Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, the NFL sacking point guard, did not practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

 

Head coach Kevin Stefanski offered very few details on Garrett's state of health, but did mention the team are being cautious as they prepare to face the Las Vegas Raiders. Garrett had two sacks Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Garrett has nine quarterback sacks this season and was instrumental in helping the Browns (5-2) have their best start to the season since going 6-1 in 1994. He has recorded at least one sack in six games. in a row, and four resulted in fumbles, three of which were turning points in Browns games.

Stefanski said he expects to see Garrett in training later this week, but recalled that the team needs to get "more information" on the severity of his injury.

 

The first pick in the 2017 NFL Draft has recorded 39 and a half sacks in 44 career games.
