(Houston) Once again running out of solutions, the Toronto Raptors suffered a ninth straight loss Monday in Houston.

This is their worst streak in over 10 years.

The Rockets won 117-99 and ended their own woes, stopping a 20-game losing streak.

Houston was hanging on to an 88-86 lead after three quarters.

The Rockets got off to a good start by starting the final round with a 9-1 push, including five free throws.

Champions in 2019, the Raptors are going through their worst times since January and February 2011, when they lost 13 games in a row.

The club's performance slipped to 17-26. And the next games promise to be tough with the Nuggets, Suns and Blazers in Tampa, throughout the week and weekend.

Over the ugly streak, Toronto has always allowed between 114 and 129 points.

"You have to improve a lot in defense," said Fred VanVleet.

“You have to do a lot better in terms of focus, intensity and attention to detail. "

Jae'Sean Tate led the Rockets, amassing 22 points.

Sterling Brown scored 20 points; John Wall and Christian Wood provided 19 each.

Wall also had 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

“You have to give them credit - the Rockets were really good,” said Raptors coach Nick Nurse. There is also that we lacked energy. "

The Raptors had played in Cleveland the day before.

On Monday, VanVleet collected 27 points, Pascal Siakam 21 and Norman Powell 19.

Chris Boucher played 22 minutes but was limited to four points, especially because he missed his four three-pointers.

He still got 10 rebounds and two blocks.

Kyle Lowry had 17 points and eight assists.

On the losing streak, the 34-year-old veteran summed it up: “Anyone can do more. "
